Clean Marina Program
In 2004, Soldiers Point Marina became the first marina in Australia to be accredited a Clean Marina, proof the Marina is managed in an environmentally sensitive fashion, with a management team that recognises its responsibility in conserving the pristine environment of Port Stephens for future generations. The Marina attained Level 3 in 2004 and we are currently in application for ISO 14001 Level 4 Clean Marinas. Learn more about Soldiers Point Marina and the Clean Marina Program.
No Carbon Marina
In 2008 Soldiers Point Marina became the world’s first marina to operate a No Carbon Marina Initiative, a national, voluntary certification program for marinas, yacht clubs, boat clubs, slipways and other associated industry operators across Australia. The initiative is designed to support the marine industry's endeavours in protecting our coastal and inland waterways with an action plan against global warming. Energy Saving Tips
Whether you are plugged into the mains at a marina or running your engine to charge the boat battery at sea, your boat will be using energy, costing you money and producing emissions, such as carbon dioxide (CO2), that effect the environment.
