Community Involvement
Real Futures
With sponsorship of $50,000 over the next three years for the Tomaree Peninsula Real Futures Program, Soldiers Point Marina is ensuring that local students are gaining an employment advantage.
The Real Futures Foundation is a non-profit organization which has an established track record of helping to inspire and motivate students to either stay in school and increase their educational engagement and attainment, or choose a positive pathway that enables successful transition to employment, further education or training.
Through innovative and multi-faceted programs provided by the Real Futures Foundation, Year 10 students from our two local secondary schools, Tomaree High School and St Philips Christian College, are provided with assistance to help them pursue a productive pathway and set realistic goals to further their education, take advantage of training opportunities and undertake work experience or work placement.

Supporting Local Youth Mayoral Scholarships
Soldiers Point Marina is proud to announce they are supporting the 2011 Port Stephens Mayoral Academic Scholarships, by providing a scholarship to the value of $2500 for one year to a student studying in the field of "tourism and hospitality".
Emily Wilson of Medowie who is studying for a Bachelor of Business, Majoring in Tourism at Newcastle University was the winning candidate. Hopefully we can ease the financial burden a little in Emily's first year of higher education, and we look forward to welcoming her to the marina in the near future.
